Mission statement
Northside American Federation of Teachers #3216 is our union working for a better future in Northside ISD with staff, students, and community members. Through collective action rooted in social justice, our union members organize to empower each other and our educational community. Together we stand against intimidation, retaliation, discrimination, and injustice. We believe that our working conditions are our students' learning conditions, which directly impact the quality of students’ educational experience. United, we create meaningful change through solidarity, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to our communities.
Union vision
The vision of Northside American Federation of Teachers Local #3216 is to strengthen and center the voices of our communities and workers in all decisions impacting their lives. Through collective organizing and building power together, our union protects, promotes, and advances workers’ rights to create an equitable district and a society grounded in justice, dignity, and respect for all.
